Gazza con boss Jhonny ‘Mad Dog’ Adair in Scozia

Paul Gazza Gascoigne chiamato in un evento dei Rangers in Scozia  con Jhonny Adair, noto ‘boss’ dei ‘Freedom Fighter’ dell’Ulster, attivi negli anni ‘80 - '90.

Gascoigne mercoledì scorso – come riferisce il ‘The Sun’ - ha partecipato al Magnum Leisure Centre di Irvine, Scozia, a un atteso suo ‘pubblic speaking’. Molti gli invitati, tra cui ex-giocatori dei Rangers e amici. I curiosi non presenti in lista-gratuita per assistere alla serata hanno elargito la modica cifra di 115 sterline.Gascoigne, 48 anni, giocatore di Newcastle, Tottenham e Lazio una volta guadagnato il palco ha iniziato a richiamare reminiscenze del suo vissuto calcistico. Ha parlato tra le altre cose delle su avventure con la nazionale inglese nel Campionato del Mondo del 1990 in Italia e degli Europei del 1996.

Tra i presenti c’era anche una folta rappresentanza di ex-guerriglieri dell’Irlanda del Nord. Su tutti Johnny - 'Mad Dog' - Adair , brigadiere della 'Compagnia C UFF' di Shankhill Road, Belfast. Uscito di galera nel 1998 grazie al 'Good Friday - Agreement' (16 anni gli anni reclusione decretati per i fatti del Nord Irlanda). Al momento si è trasferito in Aryshire dove ha iniziato nuova vita.

Durante la serata secondo il ‘The Scottish Daily Record’ a un certo punto sono iniziati anche inni per ricordare i vecchi tempi della lotta armata. Incluso “The Billy Boys” and “Fuck the Pope and IRA”. Fonti accreditate riferiscono che: “Johnny Adair was there for the VIP part of the evening with Gazza. This took place an hour before the main doors opened. The select 125 VIP guests then had to queue up in the hall as Gazza posed on stage with them. He was standing there like a show pony and fans only had a few seconds each with him. Johnny waited patiently with the rest of the crowd and politely greeted Gazza with a handshake before getting his photo taken with a blonde woman (la compana, ndr) and exiting the stage”.
